My day crashed and burned before the alarm went off

Ya'see, I woke up at 5:30 AM feeling like I was on fire, covered in a cold sweat, with my stomach in knots. A check o'the temp read 97°. About an hour later – well, let's just say that it was clear that I wasn't going to work. Thankfully, once I got whatever it was out of my system things got much better. Though, even now I'm still a bit wobbly on my feet.

Today's feats of technology have included reading FCC rulings (work related) and watching Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Aside from the fact that their depiction of sublight travel is all f*cked up, that's just about the best space battle movie ever made.

And just to pop on my gamer hat for a moment, the crew of the Carter would never have left Seti Alpha V for some poor schmucks to blunder onto unawares. (The tale in question starts here.)
