Netcurmudgeon 2; Perverts 0

On Saturday and Sunday I got two spams for kiddie porn. I did the usual verify-and-trace then forwarded the emails (with full headers) to the abuse addresses for the ISPs involved. One of them was Yahoo! The other was Wanadoo, a Spanish ISP with its IP block sub-allocated from France Telecom. Both Wanadoo and France Telecom got emails. I checked on the sites this evening. The one that was on Yahoo now gives a "303 Forbidden" and the other a 404 page from Wanadoo.

Good.

Mind if I friend you? I think I stumbled onto your via a link to UCONN.

Btw, if you really want to age ungracefully into a dirty old man (per your bio), you couldn't do any better than modeling yourself after Robert Heinlein. *laughs*

Please go ahead...

You know, I wouldn't want to model on someone who's books I can't get through! I ate (and loved) Friday and Starship Troopers, but Number of the Beast just stopped me in my tracks. :-)

Friended it is. Sorry for the belated response, but LJ just regurgitated your message to me today.

Yes, Number of the Beast is a stinker. He prided himself on being able to sell every single thing he ever wrote, even if they shouldn't have been.

You have to go back to his earlier stuff...Stranger in a Strange Land and I Will Fear No Evil. Heinlein's Lazarus Long character was autobiographical in the sense that he was such the curmudgeon (great lj username, btw) and libertarian.
