A gold star day

There are days when you get done most of what you planned to do. And then there are days like today. At the very least, I think that I earned a gold star in financial investigation. I was trying to setup a purchase order requisition in our financial system (MUNIS) and the system told me that I had less money available then my records said I should. By $28,800.60.

An hour's worth of digging and I found two problems that add up to the missing amount. One -- worth ~$9K is probably going to work out against me. But the other -- a $19K payment that didn't process entirely correctly -- should come out my way. I just need to get the attention of the MUNIS Guru-in-Chief in Finance long enough for her to fix it (mine is but one raised hand among many).
