Accidental cool thing...

Teaser ashacat's mom came over this morning with something for me to scan; she had a buyer for an old document, but didn't want to part with it without preserving a copy.

The old document was the "Official Program" for the 1922 Hartford Aviation Meet. It's fascinating. From the advertisements to the competitions. This thing is just a trove of neat stuff. I am particularly amused that the first and second prizes in the bombing competition (limited to aircraft defined by the Army Air Corps as "bombers") were "Silver loving cups". That caused me some cognitive dissonance! :-)

You can see the booklet as a PDF and scans of the front and back covers here.

In other news, the baby continues to thrive and eat our lives. Film at eleven.
