A couple of weeks back the senior administrator for the Hartford Probate Court sent out an all-hands email asking for donations of games and books to help stock the waiting area of the new therapy clinic that the court is opening. Last week the admin sent out this followup email.
To those of you who have already donated some great games and books to the Hartford Probate Court Therapy Clinic - THANK YOU!
The collection box is in the lobby of Hartford Probate Court, 250 Constitution Plaza, 3rd Floor. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to call me at 757-9164.
TO THE WONDERFUL TWO LADIES FROM THE TREASURER'S OFFICE AND TO THE VERY GENEROUS PERSON IN MHIS - THANKS FOR YOUR KINDNESS!!! THE GAMES AND BOOKS ARE GREAT!!!
(If you're thinking "don't probate courts just deal with wills and estates?", Connecticut probate courts also handle adoptions, divorces, competancy hearings, and many other aspects of 'family' law. The Hartford court houses the office of a child abuse prevention group, so the addition of psychotherapy services fits right in.)
