Ice storm 1, network 0

Last night's ice storm broke a (vary large) limb off of a tree at the Univeristy High School for Science and Engineering, which, of course, dropped smack onto the fiber feed from the street. It was only after we had gotten to running tests on both ends of the line with our fiber-optic light source and power meter that one of my engineers spotted the downed limb. The good news is that Fibertech got the line back up in about five hours after we called them.

Firewood anyone?
