How I Learned to Relax and Love the Bomb

I was winding up to post something lengthy and ranty about the U.S. politics surrounding Iran's maybe/maybe not nuclear weapons program, but I reconsidered and decided that two simple points would be better.
  • I find it more than just a little, oh I don't know, bigoted and colonialist that the US is in such a lather over another sovereign state's plans to do what we did over sixty years ago. Let Iran have nuclear weapons. In fact, send them the drawings and spec books for the Minuteman III ICBM. Then let them enjoy the 'freedom' that gives them ... knowing that if they ever use their weapons offensively they will be fair game for being nuked in return.

  • Here in Connecticut our blighted Senator, Joseph I. Lieberman, is sounding more and more like One Scary Dude. It's just a sanctions bill ... that marches in lock-step with what the administration wants ... and you couldn't help yourself by the end of the interview and just had to point out that if sanctions don't work you support attacking Iran. Just like you presently support attacking suspected Iranian training camps for Shiite insurgents.
