Mad Max with a fire axe...

I love brush trucks. While all of the other apparatus in a given fire department is going to be factory-made chrome-and-polish, the rigs that roll out for brush forest fires are some of the most wonderful, weird, eclectic home-brews going. You still see a lot of WWII-vintage deuce-and-a-half truck bodies and Dodge Power Wagons too. Brush trucks seem to be older and more custom than anything else in US fire service. (I found a page of fire equipment while Googling around for Wellfleet photos.)
