Molly Ivans is my kind of girl...

I have long thought that Molly Ivans has her head on straight. I ran across this piece she wrote on the newspaper biz today:
"I don’t so much mind that newspapers are dying—it’s watching them commit suicide that pisses me off."
...well worth the two minutes it'll take you to read it.

That's exactly what I was going to say. The Courant is a rotting piece of dreck. I think I friended you after I posted about getting a nasty letter to the editor published there on what a murderous job they've done to the Sunday Northeast. I don't think the link is still available, but I'll check.

Some of the newer things they're running make me froth at the mouth, they're so bad. I think the time's run out so I can write another nasty now too.

Heh, and media consolidation wasn't going to be a problem. The fact that both the Courant and Advocate heel to the same corporate master bugs me. The fact that The Glastonbury Citizen seems like a better run paper than the Courant may, in fact, bug me even more!
