W00T!

ashacat's Masters thesis has been published in the June edition of Ethos, the journal of the Society for Psychological Anthropology: Recall, Similarity Judgment, and Identification of Trees: A Comparison of Experts and Novices. Our copy arrived today. And, I must add, it's the lead article!

This paper has traveled a long and winding road to go from thesis to publication. There were countless rounds of editing; generation and regeneration of figures and tables; bizarre and frustrating problems with getting permission to reprint some of the tree photos Asha used in her study. Asha slugged through all of this -- including being waylaid by morning sickness -- and has earned a hearty CONGRATULATIONS!

Nice to get that lead position as well -- speaks a lot to the meat of the article.
